Default Gift Card Holders, Help Please!

Hello all!
I know that I have seen the information here somewhere, course I didn't save it when I saw it and now I am sorry! I did a search and came up with everything but what I was looking for. So, could anyone point me in the direction of an informative post on the dimentions and instructions for gift card holders? Pretty please!?!

Thanks in advance!

Are you planning to use the slit punch? I don't have a link to directions, but I know that if you make the cardstock 5 inches wide, you can punch in as far as the punch will reach (from each side) and that is the perfect width to hold a credit card-sized gift card. I made a gift card holder by cutting a piece of cardstock 5 x 8.5 inches. I scored the long side at 3.5 and 7 inches. This folds up with a 1.5 inch flap on top. I punched the slits in the middle section, and this holds the gift card. I held it shut with a band of cardstock, or you could use a ribbon, etc. Sorry I don't have a picture to show you, but the main point is to make the cardstock holding the giftcard 5 inches wide when using the slit punch. HTH!

Hi Susan!
Thanks for the info! No, I don't have a slit punch just yet. I figured I could cut the CS or buy a slit punch on my next order (going off Monday). I was really looking for dimensions and you were a huge help! Thanks!

Thanks from me, too! I just got the slit punch but hadn't tried it yet -- and need to make a card for my niece's birthday present. You just saved me a bunch of time.

I have a gift card holder in my gallery. Somehow I managed to post it twice, one of them has measurements the other one doesn't. Hope it helps.

I don't have the split punch but the dimensions helped. I do have the 1/2 inch circle punch though. I just saw a card holder yesterday that they used that punch to make two circles. Then they used brads to attach the circles and they held the card in. She also had a very gorgeous card holder that she made out of copper and gold cs. It was absolutely gorgeous! It had a pocket to put the card or money in. I'm going to ask her to scan it and send it to me. DOn't know why I didn't take a picture of it and get the dimensions while I was there. I will post it if I get to make one.

If you want to conceal the gift card, with only a hint of it showing, I have instructions to make the card in my gallery:
