Default Faux tag topper punch

Does anyone know of a punch or die that can be used instead of the tag topper punch for the gate fold cards that tie shut?

Didn't think this would work on a card front but actually it possibly would as long as you just put the cutting plates over the part of the die you want to cut. I think!

Lesley, my thoughts went the same direction! I'm having trouble visualizing how the tag punch works with the tie closure.... RBH, can you clarify?

I think RBH means a card like this:

Scallop Tag Topper Card! - Pretty Paper Cards

Don't know if it would be possible to get the die close enough to the card edge for the partial cutting method to work.

why not cut out two tags, and then place them behind the layers on the card? I don't want to buy that punch but love the look of the card, so I may try it that way.

We did this at my demo's last 10 for 10. The card looks the same, unless you get really up close and personal with it. And frankly, most of the people I send cards to wouldn't notice the difference.
