I got a sample from my su demo...that says faux shaving cream technique. They used the big blossom stamp. The background is the shaving cream technique, but the stamped area was white. (no ink). I cant for the life of me figure out how the technique was done. Any ideas?
Did she maybe stamp the image on a different piece of paper and temp adhere it to the glossy. Then dip it in the shaving cream and peel off image? That's the only thing I can think of. I think I will try it. All else fails, ask her and then share in your post!!!! Jen
The sample was not one my demo did, but one she got from another demo...I dont know the gal who did it. Thanks Jen that sounds doable. The links to the technique are great, but not how this one was done. I will have to try Jen's idea. I just pulled the sample out again and it says Big blossom negative, faux shaving cream/watercolor technique.
Maybe they cut the Big Blossom stamp out of the rubber with a knife or something so that they had the left over rubber as a negative image stamp and stuck it on something big and flat (like the other side of their Big Blossom wood mount instead of the sticker). They could then do the Faux Shaving Cream discussed in the above link (VERY cool technique) with this solid background with a flower shaped hole.
