I have looked for a few hours now here at SCC and Google looking for directions on how to make this slider box. I was so complex and I asked for written directions to it but the instructor laughed. She is not one to write anything down, like directions. I have the templates so I can get all the paper scored and cut, but assembling it is going to be tricky. But it has a drawer that pulls out of the bottom of the card that you can put candies in and a "card" slides out of the top where you can put a stamped image or sentiment.
Yes! We used a piece of cello bag that was cut in half longways. I am trying to clean up the templates for this so I can try and make sense of it all. You should have seen all the scoring and precise measurement we had to do for this. And they had to be exact or the "slider" would not work as easily as it does. I have also emailed someone that makes this in a class she teaches to see if I can get the instructions. When I have some time I am going to sit down and try and figure this out. But whoever wants to give it a shot please do. It is the coolest box.
Me too!! I'd love a copy of the directions and the template. Summer vacation is coming (or at least I keep telling myself that) so I'll have time to play!!! What a great project!!
Well I was able to do the box and now I need to work on the pop out card. I guess I can do it like the card is done, but need to figure out how to do it without the bag showing.
I guess this is when being a cad drafter comes in handy.
I'd also love a copy of the pattern! :o)
Thanks so much!

Here is what I came up with. This works pretty good. I want to try and figure out another way to have it slide out though. I will see if I can come up with some understandable instructions.
