I have stamped on ceramic tiles with Stazon and used my chalks to color. I use a clear acryllic matte spray to seal them.

Smile Ceramic Tiles

Yes, My sensi Cathy Vogel (Stampin Up Queen) taught us at stamp camp in December. Use a PERMANENT Black ink for your design and then permanent markers for the coloring in. I made quite a few for Christmas Gifts and they were well received. I sealed them with a clear laquer and so far so good on all of them. It doesn't matter if the tiles are slick or not, it works the same way. Then put felt pads (Walmart) on the back and they're all ready to go. One caution, when you seal them take your time. Even though the ink is permanent, it may have a tendancy to 'run'. Hope this helps.

I was just working on this myself! My Mom wants tiles stamped and colored to go around her new bath tub. Will these hold up to getting wet? I have tried stamping in stazon, misting with matte sealer, coloring with chalks, then sealing with Workable Fixitive but when I held it under water for a few seconds, it peeled off like an instant tatoo! HELP! What am I doing wrong??

I've had the best luck with glass paints and stazon. Stazon and permanent markers just rubbed off for me and the sealer peeled off if it got too wet.

My friend told me about the glass paints. You let them dry for 24 hours after painting them and then you bake them for about 30 minutes. I made a bunch of trivets with the 6 x 6 tiles at Christmas and so far so good.

I seal mine with Krylon Triple Thick spray. So far so good.
