Default Crystal Effects

Can someone explain how this is used? I think I have some but have lost instructions. Do you sprinkle it over the stamped object? Do you have to use heat on it? I just cannot remember! Thanks.

Basically you put some on something you would like to have shiney (Sp) or glossy looking. You can help it along by heating it but I usually let dry on its own.

Mind if I share a video with you? I love crystal lacquer which is very similar to crystal effects.

How to use Crystal Lacquer
I hope this helps.

I like the Crystal Lacquer best too. It seems to keep it's raised effect much better than other brands, and is also easier to clean up!

Default Crystal Effects

Thanks for such a super fast response. Another question how do I apply the glossy accents?? I really don't want the dimension, I just want it to protect the stamped image. I am making a dry erase board from a piece of tile. So do I use a sponge? Or just the tip of the applicator?

Thanks
Rayana

I think it will add dimension no matter how you apply it. If you sponge it on, it will probably be a sticky, bumpy mess, unfortunately. If you just want a protective coating, you might want to try a spray sealer instead. Krylon makes different types: glossy, matte, etc. HTH.

yes...same as diamond glaze...although...I think glossy accent dries faster. If you just want to protect the stamped image...try micro glaze from judikins...just a little dab on your finger and rub it around...has kind of a waxie feel to it...can use on pics and ink jet images to waterproof them as well.

Great video. I saw that the crystal lacquer comes in colors too. Anyone know where to get those?

Thanks...you're right. Diamond Glaze takes forever to dry...and is very hard to get all of the air bubbles out...even if you bleed the bottle first.

Someone recently used the crystal effects when stamping on a big gem(?) she made it into a necklace that was just beautiful - Sorry cannot remember who that was. :(
I used it for my foam in my beer on my "guy" cards!! Looks pretty good!

Default Crystal Effects

Crystal Effect - Item # 10155 comes in a 2 oz. bottle from Stampin' Up!. I haven't used the Crystal Laquer but have used the Crystal Diamonds and I do like the Crystal Effects better then Crystal Diamonds. I have sprinkled a little glitter on the Crystal Effects when it is still wet for a different look. You do not want to add the glitter if you want to see an image underneath the Crystal Effects.

Default So before I make a giant mess.........

I have a bottle of Glossy Accents. I want to use it on the balloon portion of a Pure Innocence stamp. I have already colored the balloon with a Lipstick Red Copic marker.

Please tell me how to do this before I destroy my image ! I've already shredded the tip of the bottle trying to get it open.
