Default Clorox bleach pens

Just a quick question, has anyone heard of or used this new pen? Apparently it was supposed to be sold at Target and Walmart stores beginning in September. I haven't found one yet, but I'm thinking it would be a great tool. Also, I read somewhere that to protect your stamps when doing the bleaching technique, it's a good idea to stamp on a Versamark pad first, then stamp in the bleach. Has anyone else heard of that or done that?

Hi
I just bought one of these at Walmart on Friday and it works, but it's pretty thick & leaves residue. It's a gel, so it clumps up when dried. Does that make sense? I think I paid about $2.39 or so for it and I don't know if I'll use it again or not. Every time I'd see the commercial for it I'd say "That would be GREAT for stamping!"
I also used it on a white shirt in the laundry & that worked great. LOL
Try it....you just might like it!

I tried one too. It seems stronger than regular bleach; at least it bleaches whiter than my liquid bleach. Maybe it's just because it is kind of a gel. It's difficult to apply in small, detailed areas, but it works okay in larger areas. On some CS, it left a residue that I didn't care for. I was hoping to use it at workshops. . . but I'm afraid that it might not dry in the requisite time and might damage a customers other stuff--probably NOT a good idea!

I bought it too as soon as it came out. They must make a lot of money on stampers
But I don't like it for stamping either. The gel seems to thick for it. But I am sure it will be great for stains.

Have a great week.

Hey...thanks for the replies. I appreciate the comments. I'll probably still purchase one, just to play with. After all, I can still "use" it for my laundry, right?

I actually used this in a Christmas Stamp-A-Stack. We embossed the tree from Season's Sketches with Winter White EP on Night of Navy CS. Then used the bleach pen to bleach out inside the embossed lines. My customers loved it. In this case I think the way the gel worked enhanced the image.

Cool idea with the christmas tree - now I think I'll get one. Had to LOL at the laundry question. Are we expected to do it?? My dh is a true dh - he does it while I stamp.

to you lucky gals who have a hubby who does laundry, how do you do it??
In all honesty, I told my hubby years ago, if he doesn't do housework, I don't touch the car or lawn maintenance. I guess he made his choice,
the only time my dear hubby touches the washer or dryer is when I say'Honey, it's broke, if you want clean jeans ya need to fix it!!!"
