Chemspice - your blossom looks really good to me! I keep hoping the tutorial will be posted, too. We'll continue to be patient, although it is getting harder and harder!
I can't believe I JUST found this thread!!! I have been trying to make a ribbon blossom since I first saw hers. Like everyone else I can't get the blossom to look like a blossom. I stalk her blog every day hoping for the next tutorial. What I have done that may help some of you is once I have the original blob done, I make a smaller blob and then attach it to the big blob with a glue dot. It really helps with the center which is where I am having all my problems. Here is a card that I did where it didn't turn out too bad. I will now be waiting and watching like everyone to see how the master does it!

I'm a fiddler, I like to fiddle with my fingers (although I did used to play the violin ages ago!) and I thought to give it a go. I used 32 pieces of ribbon cut approx. 3.25 inches long all green, different kinds of ribbon...grosgrain, organza with different patterns. Used embroidery floss to tie it together really tight, then fiddled with it (it took quite a bit of fiddling!!) and then finally trimmed the ends.
It doesn't look quite right yet, it sort of looks like a sea anemone (that doesn't look spelled right!)...I'm wondering if I should haul out the curling iron...
Chemspice, I think your blossom bow looks just like Pam's - way to go!! You have conquered the elusive blossom bow lol.........
Thx for the additional info re: how may pieces and how long you cut them, etc. - that's a big help.
I'm doing ATC cards right now for swaps, but when I finish them I can't wait to tackle this blossom bow - Pam sure did come up with a beautiful embellishment.

You're more than welcome! I'll try to explain the next bit (the fiddling part!) best I can without photos...imagine your 32 pieces of cut ribbon neatly stacked, you've tied the stack tightly with wire, floss or whatever...keep your tie (knot) at the bottom of the stack....then take the first ribbon at the top of the stack...wait...uh...maybe I'll make another and take some pics...words seem to elude me...

Chemspice...the bow looks exactly like Pam's...great job. I don't know how Pam is doing but the last I looked, she hadn't updated her blog in a month or so. I hope she is OK.
You gave us a good start with the number and length of ribbons. Great thing to do with all those ends of ribbons that I usually throw away. Thanks so much. MJ/g
Oh your blossom bow is beautiful. Excellent job! I'm sure Pam would be pleased to know you were so determined to try it and succeeded.
We would all like Pam's tutorial, of course, but realize that she is having a tough time with family stuff, right now. I'm sure she'll be happy to see (know) we will look forward to her actual instructions but that we can have a go, ourselves, in the time being.

Thats what Im talking about! We have been inspired by Pam. Now, its up to us to try to get those bows right. This will be Pams gift to us and our tribute to her!
I'm new also and just stumbled across this thread. People can be so cruel sometime - it's so sad. But I admire Pam for understanding what's important and putting her family first! That said, I am so looking forward to her tutorial. Those are SO cute. Can't wait.
Been waiting, just love the blossom bows. Great job. And thank you getting
a tutorial together . I know how hard and long it takes. Thanks in advance.

I have been reading this thread for so long, the anticipation is building, and I can tell how much everyone is just die'n to get the tutorial from Pam. I think it is really sad after reading her blog about 3 weeks ago but seriously it seems to be an industry that brings out the worst in some. Some of us love to share our ideas and then get critised for something from someone else.
I will check back in another few weeks maybe Pam will be back and settled enough to finish her tutorial for everyone.
Patience..........

After careful thought I have decided that possibly this SCS doesn't care to share the tute. There have been legit reasons, but come on, does a family emergency last for weeks?????????? And not ever have a moment to post the much requested tute. I'm getting negative feelings about this and I'm an extremely positive person. It just seems strange that it hasn't been posted yet.

No, I really believe that it is a family emergency and with school starting too things are hectic for everyone. She hasn't even posted on her blog - and I believe she's on a design team, so she would post if she had time on her hands. I hope you won't have negative feelings about this because we don't know the capabilities and potentials of others and wouldn't want to judge them if they are having difficulty coping with the trials in their life.
I, too, have been waiting with baited breath for this tutorial. I found some of Pam's blossom bows on a UK blog and emailed the "lady" through her contact me details asking if she would share the instructions. I received no answer so assume she wants to keep the glory to herself.
I am sure Pam will post them when she can and there will be a mad rush of blossom bows appearing once she does.....can't wait!! It is probably a case of there are so many other things to catch up with and she is trying to fit everything in.
Incase you are reading this Pam, we all appreciate the effort you will have to make to get the tutorial ready.
