Tombows
I actually have a tutorial on my blog with tombows, and just taught a class at the LSS. Watercolour paper truly is the best paper to use because you need a fair amount of water which will buckle normal paper. The secret is to layer your colours ie. Colour a petal light pink, from the bottom up add a little darker colour, and then on top of that, add a darker colour a little ways up the mid colour. Make sense?
Then, you put a #0 or #2 artist paint brush in water, and in a circular motion, you blend upwards.
There are two cards using Tombows in my gallery if you would like to see examples.
Good luck.
