Default Bleaching - Another tutorial! :)

I just finished my second tutorial on my blog on the bleaching technique! I am really LOVING this tutorial thing! Having so much fun taking pictures and adding the directions to them. I've found a new love.

Here it is:

Thanks! My sister did some maintenance on my dreads Monday night and they're looking REALLY good.....I need to take some new pics and do an update. I find it so humorous that so many of my readers are keeping up with my babies.

Clorox needs to do a new commercial: "Bleach Pens.....they're not just for stamping anymore. Now you can use them in the laundry room, too!" ahaha!

Thank you, Erika, for another awesome tutorial! I have a bleach pen just hanging out, waiting for me to come play.

Are you going to enter HOF again this year? I was thinking of just challenging myself to do the assignments (with no pressure to enter necessarily), since I've heard so many people say that they've really grown as scrappers and created some of their most-loved layouts during the process.

Again, thanks for sharing your creativity with us!

I can't wait to try this technique, but does the bleach pen leave any kind of scent on the card? Just wondering before I go buy one!
Thanks~

Nope, no scent at all left on the card. I just smelled it to make sure.

I'm definitely planning on entering HOF again this year. I just got my CK in the mail this past week and noticed the announcement for it. I didn't enter this past year......not sure why. I had planned on it, as well as entering the Memory Makers Masters contest, but didn't do either of them. I guess my heart just wasn't in it for those. But I'm ready to do the CK HOF this year and already the wheels in my head are turning with ideas for the assignments.

I would definitely give it a go if I were you......it really helps to stretch you and makes you think depper and outside the box. Even if you don't enter, the challenges are great!

Tee hee.

ps. I sent off your books to you today, along with a RAK. :-D

I'm so sorry...I forgot about how close the trip was! I was just cleaning the bottom of the book shelf yesterday and I saw those books so I packed 'em up.

Have you read any of the Sisterchicks books? You'd like those, I think. Especially since you are about to leave on a trip to Europe.

Like I said in my LJ, don't worry about the books.....I'll find something to read.

I haven't read the SisterChicks books yet. Do you have them? I'll have to look them up on the Crossings book club site and see if I can find them. What are they about?

Hello - I hope you get this reply/question. First, none of my Blender pens are dried out but I'd be willing to dry one out to use this technique. Any ideas how I can do that? (microwave maybe???) Second question - if I dont have a dried out Blenderr pens, do you have any suggestions for a different tool to use?
Thank you very much. Very cool technique.

If you don't have a dried out blender pen, you can always use a regular blender pen. That's fine. I just use my dried out ones because by the time I learned the technique, I already had some that were dried out.

If you don't want to use a new one, you can always use a paintbrush.

I'd love to see what you come up with if you try this.

My sample didnt come out to well but I think it's because my blender pen was "wet" and the bleach was too so my card stock had that look of having been wet. I will try again and let you know how it turns out. Thank you!!!
