Default Attaching buttons

I'm doing a shoebox swap this weekend - my card has a cut-out flower on it with a small button for the center.

What is your preferred method of attaching buttons???

I love using the glue dots. They hold really well.

Glue dots for me too, they seem to be the easiest and less messy and quicker drying than glue.

Sometimes I stitch it right onto the card with a paper piercer, needle, and linen or embroidery thread. Other times I use a glue dot but I always thread it because for some reason naked buttons look funny to me

I like to use the Aleene's "Tacky" Glue to put my buttons on my card. I think the glue dots would probably be faster, easier, and less messy than trying to use the glue.

For a shoebox swap I would go with the glue dots. When I'm working at home I use Tombow Mono Multi. I haven't found anything yet that glue won't hold!

I use the Crystal effects on buttons and it works great. I never thought of the glue dots, that is much easier. Good luck.

I use the Aleene's clear glue but it does take a while to dry. I ususally just put something heavier on it to hold it down while it dries; not the faster, just the most secure.

I like to use the small hole punch & punch to little holes side by side. I then use plain white dental floss. Just use a dental floss threader (that you can get from your dentist) & thread it through the holes in the buttons & paper. Just tie in the back of the flower. It holds ok for me.

Default Buttons

I used mini glue dots AFTER sewing a bit of thread ito each button; nobody could ever tell they weren't actually sewn on. HTH? Andi

I love those of you who don't like "naked" buttons. Too funny. I'm just lazy, so I use the glue dots, too.
