Question Anyone created a box for 8oz Bath & Body Lotion?

Can anyone direct me to a website to create a box out of Stampin' Up! Card Stock using the scoring tool, not the envelope punch board tool for the 8 oz Bath and Body Lotion? If you have a video, or know of a YouTube video for creating the box that would be great. I have searched every where I could have. Thank you.

I know that you can bing/google "making a box using Martha Stewart scoreboard" and you will get loads of hits. Her board is basically the same. Also, I just did a search on youtube, "creating a box with a scoreboard". You will get weird things but you'll find them.

I know once you start delving into the search yourself, you'll find loads of tutorials out there. You'll have to check them out yourself. I think that Martha has an entire area for using her board and the measurements to boxes and envelopes.

I have the envelope board and I know that there are boxes you can make with it. Just start some searches, you'll find it. I hope this helps.

I did a search for how to fold a box and found this among others. I hope it helps.

Did you find what you're looking for?? If not, give me the dimensions that you would like to be, and I will help you out. I'm pretty good and figuring them out.

Do you happen to have a silhouette die cutter?

How do you want the top of the box - a flap or separate lid? The bottom of the bottle needs a 2" x 3" base.

I can figure this out tomorrow or Friday and give you something that will have the dimensions that I believe you will need for a 2 x 3 base, but I really need a height. I'm pretty good at making boxes on the score board.

If I don't get a height, I will tell you how to score and figure out where to move the score lines for any height.

That is if you still need it. Is this for one of their basic body/hand lotions that come in a bottle?? I have several of those and I can give you a basic box with a side lid for a basic bottle of their lotion ;)

I am so excited! I have several bottles of the lotion and I plan to give them away as a gift. I so appreciate your willingness to provide the dimensions for me. You are awesome! I am going to have so much fun decorating the box.

No problem. I have my grandson tonight. Tomorrow afternoon, I'll do the dimensions and taper marks and You'll be set to go. I have a bottle of lotion from there and it will be perfect as my guide.

I totally forgot to post it. I have it in my car, (I did them at work). In the morning I will go out and get it and post it probably about 11 am mountain time. So sorry. My mind hasn't been right this week. A lot of craziness. I will post before noon for sure!! BTW, it's truly very simple.

Default Internet.

So this morning our Internet was out. I get off wrk at 10pm MST. If I don't get it posted tonight I will in am. I tried from my phone but it's not digging it at all. Lol. I made 2 design. One has a tucked in lid. The other toy can use stickers to close. I like it best because it uses an 8 1/2x11 sheet. So know I didn't forget. I'll get it by morn. I'm off tomorrow;)

I'm back!!

So sorry that it took so long to do this. I made 2 different boxes. I wasn't sure if they changed the design of their bottles. So, I made the template from a bottle of Bath and Body works bottle of Mango Mandarin that I got a couple of years ago.

It works though. Here are two designs.

The first, I made out of card board. It was 12 by 12 and I cut it to 11 1/2 x 10 1/2 Here are pictures of the scores in picture one. It will fold up and because there is an extra side really there is no need for any adhesive. The lotion will go in the box at an angle. See the final pictures. (the grayer colored paper) (btw, the 2nd picture, the box is actually upside down. That extra flap is suppose to be on the bottom for support although it won't matter when it's closed).

The second is straight up 8 1/2 x 11. You will score and have to adhere with glue or score tape when you fold the box up. The ends, you can fold up and I would suggest cutting a piece of card stock 2 in x 3 in and glue to the closed bottom end. You can do the same with the top. I would suggest festive stickers to close the bottom and tops. I would adhere the shorter one on the outside, but you can make sure you have glue on both side flaps it will glue up fine (or score tape). I hope that make sense. Pictures should help.

The other suggestion is to either use file folders, cereal boxes, or 2 pieces of heavy card stock glued together for strength. The 8 oz box can be pretty heavy for a single sheet of card stock. I would use a pretty patterned paper for the outside, or even beautiful holiday wrapping paper.

Here are the pictures. I did try to do a power point or a video, but we have been having internet issues here at home so I couldn't really pull it off. I sure hope that this works for you!!

Please feel free to ask any questions and if you really need it, I can make a short video and show you how to put it together if you like. I think all of our internet issues are over with for now (new router).

Oh, and please forgive the dirty score board. You don't realize how much adhesives and markers make it grimy until you post pictures of it!! lol

Denvercat276, thank you so much, I wish I had your talent. I appreciate your time and talent. I am so glad that you sent pictures, I would have been lost without them. I am a little confused with the first box, but I think I can figure out the second one (8 1/2 X 11) I am going to try to post my final project. If you ever have any extra time, a video would be great!

I will make you a video on by the end of the week. I start vaca on Saturday so I know that I can do it and post it in the a.m. It will be really easy. The only thing that you will need to do is make a 2x3 rectangle for the bottom to strengthen it.

Oh, and all though it looks daunting, the 12 x 12 is really easy. Score and then cut away. You don't even need to glue it!! lol

Ok. no worries. I'll hook you up.

I will post it here if I can, otherwise, I have a youtube channel that I can post it to and then link it here. I'll do it Saturday morning.

I'm actually a bit excited about it. I may even up load the video I did for a mini album reveal I made for a gift exchange last summer. I've been wanting to upload it and share it

I'm glad you all liked it. They are both quite easy. Oh, and thanks for the template maker site, for future reference.

Thanks.
