Question Another Glass Ornament Question

I've been playing around with the glass ornaments, and have run into two problems... First, I read somewhere (tutorial maybe?) That if you flip your image over after colouring the back with sharpies, and colour the front it makes it more vibrant. I tried that, and the sharpie took away the stazon ink! Has this happened to anyones else?
Also, I tried the technique of painting white re-inker on the back, and then embossing it to make the colours 'pop' but even though I embossed it, heat set it until the embossing powder was more than melted, and then let it sit for a few hours, when I rolled up the acetate to insert it into the ball, it smudged all of the white ink!! i ended up with a VERY messy piece of acetate!
Has anyone else had these problems? What did you do differently? Could it be the type of Acetate I use? Or is there another explanation?

Please Help!!
TIA!
Adalia

ETA: My Stazon was more than dry when I tried to colour it, I had left it to dry while I did my laundry!! it was hours old by the time i sat down to colour it!

Hi:

I have made a few of these ornaments and I never color on the same side that I stamp on. I turn it over and color on the opposite side.

Maybe you need to wait just a little bit longer to make sure that the white is dry before you emboss of even just emboss to get the white that you want.
I have also colored mine with paint and that worked out well for me. I just used regular craft paint. You need to let it dry before you apply the next coat and it will take a couple but I liked the effect.

Here is an example in my gallery that I just painted

Good luck
