I used the lid of the tin to make a template. Since I am scissor-challenged, cut the rectangle with my paper cutter, and the corner rounder to match the curve of the lid. I used sticky strips around the edge of the lid, added ribbon.
I made many many little cards: 3in by 2.5 in to fill the tins. (sort of like min-card fronts - small designs, with a saying on each one that I printed on cardstock, cut out and glued on!)
Did you make envies for the little cards or just put the cards in the tin? I think this is such a cute idea for a little gift! Not sure hot make the envies for a card that small!

I just made the card fronts 3 1/4 x 2in. Sort of like small trading cards...
I scanned a few so you could see what they are like, but I'll need to post to the gallery, and come back and add the link.
Not sure if I have the patience to make mini envelopes, even if I had a template!
And if someone can post instructions on attaching thumbnails - I'd love it!
The mini envelope template from SU works great for the envies! I would suggest using the designer papers or typing paper (gasp!), because cardstock is very heavy and difficult to fold....although it can be done.
You guys are great...thanks so much. I am having a SU party on July 9th so I will have to look at the catty for the templates. I wish I had the catty in front of me. I guess I get one for being a hostess but since my party is right after the new catalog she figured she would wait and give me the new one at the party. !! Cant wait
Thanks again

What kind of paint do you use to paint the altoid tins? I tried one with Acrylic paint and didn't like the results. It looks like it could peel off easily.
