Altering Lunch Box Tin - HELP!

I received a lunch box tin from a SS and I'm not sure how to go about altering it. Mostly, my question is what adhesive to use and how to I work around the handle? The rest I think I can pretty much figure out. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I've used mod podge on my lunch boxes and Im pleased with the way it works, if you have a thinner paper it may bubble some though. I apply the mod podge in sections of the tin and place my paper on it. For the handle, I had gotten a template online for it but found out it wasn't right anyway so I just kind of made my own template from that. I know some people just paint their tops to match their paper, that would be easier Im sure. Also for the latch I use my coluzzle circles to cut a 1/2 circle for it, it looks better than trying to exacto knife around it.

I use the small tag punch for the latch and the word window punch for the handles. And then embellish the imperfections.

For adhesive a thin coat of Royal Decoupage...Satin finish on the tin AND then the paper works well or the xyron.

Here is the link for the altered lunch tin. I used it and had to alter the lid holes around the handles just a bit. They are great instructions.

Thanks for the link! My lunch box is the old school kind, it is flat instead of the tall kind shown in the tutorial, plus it isn't plain white, so I will probably paint where I can't cover with paper.

I use double sided tape to adhere my paper to the tin, both on sides and top......after 8 months, it is still sticking fine
