Check it out and let me know what you think! It is using alcohol markers (I used Prismacolor) and shading with pencils. You can see this techniques used on this card.
That's a really helpful tutorial--thanks! The Gerbera Daisy is one of my favorite TAC images--not just because it's only $5.95, but because it's so pretty.
very pretty i have been wondering exactly what in the world stumps and gamsol was and what it was used for now i understand great job there is only one small problem now i need to go shopping and payday is tomorrow.
Wow - directions even I can understand!! Thank you so much for posting these. Your flower is beautiful. How about making some other things and posting them so I can case them, LOL!!!
Thanks everyone. I answered a bunch of questions on my site, but I'll try to answer them here too.
I used the georgia pacific white from Wal-Mart. I've used SU! whisper white and TAC's premium white and have NO trouble at all.
The markers are a big debate. I know that prismacolor and copic are both alcohol based. I went for prismacolor because I couldn't afford the copics. I have NO regrets on this. I love my markers. You just need to be patient and practice.
Awesome colors and blending! Your tutorial is terrific. Very easy to understand and each step is pictured so well. Thanks for sharing. BTW, the image is awesome too.
I've been reading all night, looking for help with Prismacolor Markers and am glad I came across this. How clever to combine the pencil/gamsol method with the markers! Excellent. Thanks.
OK, so I'll admit that it took me FOREVER to find the tutorial but am I so glad I didn't give up!!! I love the look and it's so easy (or you make it look so). Thank you for sharing your talent!
Now get pictures up of your ribbon!!
