I use my 150 Xyron and glue dots. They seem to work best for me!

LOVE "zip strips" they're perfect for ribbon. I buy them at michael's with a coupon when I can't find anything else to buy. If I run out then I use my little X xyron.

I'm a sticky tape fan. After that I also use my mono-adhesive in both white and clear. I clip it to the card or page with a clothespin until it dries. If I'm in a hurry and out of tape I use glue dots.

I made a covered box this weekend, and used Modge podge to adhere the ribbon. The ribbon got really stiff though, so I wouldn't recommend this on cards.
For cards, I'm with the others that use glue dots. Those things really stick!

Thanks, all for the tips! It sounds like glue dots, or sticky tape is the overwhelming majority. I didn't have any before this last weekend but now that I have them, the ribbon sticks GREAT!
And, I like the suggestion to use a clothespin to hold the ribbon on until it is stuck.
