Default 22 guage Wire Works as mini jump rings??

Has anyone used the 22 guage and shaped it into mini jump rings? How do you hide the "twist"? or is it heavy enough to just squeeze together w/pliers?

Example of this is in the catty on p. 54 On the Beach card.
Also on p. 103 All the Best scrapbook page to connect the ribbon.

It is a perfect size and when I looked in the supplies section and the only thing mentioned was the wire works. Has anyone had any luck w/this?? Multi-colored rings would be great!

Bet you can tell that I've been scouring over the catty today looking for new ideas while adding to my wish list!

If you tightly wrap the wire around something like a pencil or a marker. . . then clip, you'll have a cool 7gypsy looking spiral (you have to stretch it). BUT. . . . (drumroll) if you clip it into little pieces, you'll have a bunch of custom made jump rings!

Clear as mud?

I haven't tried working with wire in a looong time (since back before I started stamping), but I think it would be fairly easy to manipulate it into jump rings. I also agree that colored rings would be very cool!

Good luck finding an answer to your question!
