Default TLC970 Broccoli Stamping 9/25/2023

First things first--TLC970 Gallery

Welcome!! I'm thinking fall as hard as I can in my crops and sleeveless top. Our calendar has turned to fall, but the weather didn't get the memo. It's supposed to be 98 degrees Fahrenheit here in Texas today. We're just thankful to be out of the triple digits!

I saw this Kids Crafting Blog Post and thought that grown-ups need to play with their food too. I hope you remembered to buy some broccoli for today. If you don't have any, go get some! It doesn't take much and you can eat the rest for supper.

So the challenge is to use BROCCOLI to stamp on your card. You can use the broccoli to stamp leaves on trees or shrubs, make fluffy clouds, snow and a lot of things I haven't thought of yet. Use paint or inks--whatever you think looks amazing and show us your broccoli stamping skills. I'm posting in the fall because fall trees are a great use for this technique, but floral spring trees would also be pretty.

Some tips: Stamp the top of the tree lighter or even wipe the ink off of the top of the tree if you are using a lighter colored ink. For paint it doesn't matter as much. If you are using ink, you may have some bits of broccoli on your ink pad afterward. You can clean it off, but it's messy. If that is a problem for you, use the paint option.

Add the keyword: TLC970 so you show up in our gallery HERE

Here is my card: Kraft Autumn Tree by ruby-heartedmom at Splitcoaststampers

Remember to use the keyword TLC970 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Fun! I normally buy sprouting broccoli so I had to make sure to get some calabrese instead: TLC970 Seasons by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers

I made a typo in my keyword so it will take a little time to sync .

Sabrina, we grow broccoli sprouts in a jar at my house, but I've never bought sprouting broccoli at the store. I'm curious about what it looks like.

I loved seeing Sienna having fun with this technique!!! Thanks for sharing!

I see now why I didn't know about sprouting broccoli. It's probably too hot for it here in Texas. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.
