Here we are at the start of June - and our wedding anniversary.
Last month I promised you something much easier. If you forgot to get coffee filters, there is a suggestion in the comments on the tutorial that it could also be done with used drier sheets or untextured paper towel, and I guess in fact even tissue paper would work though it's more fragile and liable to tear as I discover every time I go back to the Tissue Paper Watercolor tutorial.
The Frosted Filter tutorial is here: Frosted Filter Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Remember to add to the gallery by choosing Technique Spotlight from the first dropdown and Frosted Filter from the second set of options.
You can either stamp (and heat emboss) your piece or use it as a background.
If anyone can explain to me why it is frosted, I am curious!!
Remember to use the keyword TLC954 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Sabrina - in answer to your question "If anyone can explain to me why it is frosted, I am curious!!"
When I went to the SCS tutorial for frosted filters, The wrinkles in her finished piece were reminiscent of the frost patterns I remember on the windows as a kid in colder country. Perhaps that's why . . . .
