Happy Monday!!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today's challenge is a background technique. It is versatile and can be dressed up or down. We are going to create a tone on tone background using Versa Mark and clear embossing powder (I am still on a mission to use my stash and the embossing powder doesn't get pulled out as often as it once did.)
To create your background, use a solid cardstock (white works but it shows up better on colors.) Use a background stamp, a border stamp, smaller filler stamps, or even a stencil or embossing folder for your background image. "Ink" up your image with Versa Mark and heat emboss it in clear. Then build your card around it. It is perfect for CAS cards! I know this is a throwback technique but I couldn't find where we had done it as a technique challenge so I hope it is a simple, fun project for you on this Monday morning.
I can not wait to see what you come up with!!
Hugs,
Lyn

Remember to use the keyword TLC951 (no space) when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/show photo..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
