Happy November Monday to you all.
I did have a different technique from our Resources section picked out, but I was sick for about a week and am short on time to make a sample which would require a little more time than I have had. So I've gone for a quick and easy technique from Jennifer McGuire, which she calls Split Window.
She shows some stencilling at the start of the video - if you want to skip forward to the technique directions, they start at about 8 minutes in.
Essentially it is a card with a smallish aperture in the front, but rather than being centred, the aperture is placed over towards the left, and you score halfway across it. After decorating the front as you choose (I went for DP for speed), you adhere the left part of the front to the base, so bear in mind it won't open fully like a regular A2 card. Then you decorate another panel the same size as your aperture, and stick it directly to the card base.
So, when closed it looks like a regular card with an aperture, but when you open it, the image is fully attached to the base and the front partially opens.
Remember to use the keyword TLC924 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread. 2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link. 3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on) 4. Click EDIT. Click COPY 5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Really loved this split window challenge! Must say it was a bit easier some others ... am challenged because these old fingers do not cooperate very well.
