Cool, I have done the DTP method with the tag punch a la JanTink style to make a wooden fence. I will have to try this for a full card. Thanks for the challenge.

Default Finally....

I made this card as soon as I saw the challenge. BUT, procrastinator that I am, I just now got it uploaded. Calf and Barn
I used one of those very stiff little paint brushes that are sold a hundred to a box. They are useless for painting, but very nice for glue and now for Faux Wood.

Default What is DTP

I was reading how to do the faux wood technique and the directions also says use DTP. I looked everywhere I could think of looking and can't find out what that means, could someone please tell me?
Thanks!!!

I believe it refers to the technique of "Direct To Paper" meaning take your stamp pad directly to your paper and apply ink. Hope this helps.

Learned about this technique while cruising all the different challenges. It was alot of fun to do. I combined this challenge with WT141 to create my card. Thanks for helping me learn new things! My card:

I love how this faux wood looks and glad I found the technique posted. I had two old, rather dried up stamp pads which I spritzed with water and then ran my cardstock over them. I then put a light mist on the paper and brayered so the colors would run together. Probably not the best way to do it, but with my limited supplies, it worked okay.

Hope you enjoy it:

Well I have done this challenge. Love it but I actually just dragged the 3 different colour stamp pads down the cardstock.
I think I got the same effect but it was just a bit easier as I don't have all the reinkers.
here is my card
