Happy Monday to you all. I hope that those celebrating July 4th had a good and safe time.
It's "only" four years since I last featured Birgit's
Brick Wall tutorial as TLC650, but I have to admit I've never thought of using it again over those years - and judging by the
Technique Spotlight Gallery, (linked, so you can check it out for inspiration) not very many other people have either ;-). So here we are. I'd like to say that this is very specifically the linked tutorial and NOT embossed, stamped or stencilled brick walls. I know I own at least two embossing folders and definitely two stencils and one stamp - and I would more naturally gravitate towards those. But this is a fun technique and worth revisiting, I hope you will think.
BRICK WALL tutorial
My top tip - try to mark the back in some way that you can identify where the pieces go if it's not going to be obvious from the front! I actually used some Press'n Seal which made it a little easier for me.

Here's my card: Personally, I would have added a little tag with twine for the sentiment, but I made this for DH to send to somebody, and he made it pretty clear that he didn't want any tatty twine cluttering up "his" card.

Remember to use the keyword
TLC854 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card. And for future inspiration for many, it's great if you upload your card to the tutorial gallery in Technique Spotlight.
Choose Technique Spotlight from the first dropdown menu, and Brick Wall from the second. Cards will always show in your member gallery even when you put them in the Technique galleries.
If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:
1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
