Happy May Monday to you all.
I have something for us to try this week that will, I am sure, be easy for all those who have been following along the Wednesday Watercolour challenges. It took me out of my comfort zone because doodling is not really my thing, and I rather over-worked one of my trial pieces for step-out photos, and ended up cutting it into a tag and a mini card. But if I can do this, anybody can.
For those of you who like videos, here's the one I checked out that I liked the best. I liked her double legs. There are plenty of videos out there - some are basic blobs like this, and some start off with more bird-like shapes. I liked the ease of these blobby ones, feel free to run with whatever suits you.
Also, I tried misting my paper first following one video - that's fine if you want fuzzy birds but I didn't!
Again, it's your choice - for the challenge, all that's required is watercolour in loose shapes with the bird doodled on afterwards.
For those who don't like videos (like me) - use watercolours to create little blobs of colour as shown in my first photo. When dry, use a black waterproof pen to draw an outline, add details like beaks, wings, tufts, legs. Colour in anything that needs it after adding your doodling. Add grass or foreground of your choice, and finish the card off.
Remember to use the keyword TLC845 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.

Me too! Oh how I need to try this fun-looking bird doodling this week!
Sabrina, this is absolutely the technique I didn't know I needed to try. It's so much fun and I love these goofy birds. I made enough for two cards: slimline
