Default TLC838 ~ 3D Sentiment with Vanishing Point ~ {03/14/21}

Happy Monday Guys,

Last week Lydia did a tutorial on an older technique call 3D Word Dies she called it Vanishing Point Words . This was on my list of techniques that I wanted to try. After watching her tutorial, I was inspired and I decided now was finally the time (it was really past time haha?) HOWEVER, I decided that instead of using a word die, I would pull out some of my big, bold sentiment stamps and try it with those - I love finding ways to stretch my stamps don't you?! At the end of the day, the look is still 3Dish and I really had fun taking my sentiment up a notch, essentially making it the focal point of my card. Next time, I think I am going to going monochrome and see how that looks - so many possibilities

My challenge to you is to use the video links above for your inspiration but to find a sentiment stamp to use . IF you don't have a bold, chunky sentiment stamp and do have a word die, by all means use it instead but use the stamp if you can (if for no other reason than to see all the ways we can stretch this technique right?

Here are the Details for today's challenge:
Keyword: TLC838 (no spaces!)
My Sample: TLC838 Hello There (3D)
Gallery Submissions

Don't forget to upload your card to the technique gallery also.
Remember to use the keyword TLC838 when you are uploading. It's helpful if you come back and leave a link on this thread, especially in case you made a typo and people may not find your card.

If you're not sure how to link your card on the thread here, here's how:

1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

I can't wait to see what you create!
Lyn

I have very few large sentiment stamps but I think I do have a couple that actually go with dies. I'll be along when the work week allows.

Smile TLC838 wood framed happy

Lyn- awesome challenge, Lydia's video was a big help in getting the technique explained in a step by step manner! For my vanishing point words card- I had this die cut happy sentiment in my stash- added some watercolors in rainbow hues for my rays that end in a vanishing point. Used adhesive gems for embellishments, along with a multi loop twine tie and a white and gold twine border, tied in a bow. Here's wood framed happy

Here's mine: TLC838 Simple Prayers

From what I wrote in my upload when the die version featured as a TLC, I had found some things worked better than others. But, chronically short of time these days, when the link in my upload was broken, I didn't spend time finding the challenge to see what tips I had given on what had and hadn't worked for me previously. Maybe I should have, as I had to erase my first attempt and start again - thankfully my pencil lines were light. I feel I prefer the extra dimension of using a die, but I was very happy to take the challenge and try with a stamped word.

That was so fun and so easy (although it did take me 2 times to get it right!) Here's my card.

Thanks - I almost uploaded a link to your challenge too but wanted to encourage a new way to do it. It has been long enough to revisit right?

Oh, absolutely, 100%.
That's why we rebranded as Technique Lovers/. And the stamp rather than die, for those who had a suitable stamp, is definitely new.
