ugh! I must be the only one that can't get this technique to work! I opened my new bleach pen, stamped my stamp in versamark and then applied the bleach from the pen...it was on there...I could see the white...I stamped the image and NOTHING! Is it possible that the paper/color I am using will not bleach? (I doubt it!) do you have to wait for a result? I guess I will try with a different paper, different color? Talk about a challenge!!
any suggestions for the bleach impaired?

Stamper-c!! No you are not the only one. I was just here to ask the same question. It will not work for me. Nothing happens. I was thinking maybe the bleach is no good??? Am just on my way out to buy some new. Have to buy groceries anyway... Thanks goodness I'm not the only one!!! lol
Rainy...I thought the same thing that maybe the bleach went bad but I just opened it in my case...looking forward to hearing what happens with your "new" bleach!!!
Oh! Bleach! I can't wait to try this...I have seen this many times and haven't played with bleach yet. I can't do this today unfortunatly, but I will be playing as soon as I get home tomorrow. Thanks for the great challenge Julia!

Painted Posies Bleached
Thanks for looking!
and have you all ever hit a plateau in which you aren't improving as quickly as you once were? maybe I will post in the forums about it
boy did I have trouble with this one! I finally found a paper that would bleach...then it got a little sloppy...this is what I was able to salvage! I wasn't too pleased at first, but it's growing on me...what do you think?
I'm sending it to dh's 90 yr old grandmother for Mother day...

I've had bad bleach before. Luckily, we were stamping in the community room of a Kroger, so I went and bought some right then. It worked, so it was the bleach and not me or the paper. Here's the card I made on that occasion: Starry Night
I used both liquid bleach (the yellower) and a bleach pen (whiter) on this card.
This was my first try and I am happy with the result. I was pretty scared to try it and I had to wait for the kids to nap before I started. Thanks for looking!
Thanks for revisitng this technique--I've never had the best of luck with it in the past. This time it really produced a great result, I added color to and around the bleach marks. I really liked this look. Had a few technical problems but like my card and plan to do some more like it.
Julia~ thaks for the great challenge! I used just a bit of bleaching on this card. I'm happy with how it turned out. I did use a bleach pen, but I didn't need the image to be super crisp... Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
No time to play these days - my free time is spent renovating before I move. But I tried bleaching for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Here's the result: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

looks like an awsome challeng, but no challenge for me this week. I am so far behind in my swaps I have to catch up. I will be looking at everyones tonight while at work.
Oh fun! This was from before I joined SCS so this should be fun! I made a huge mess the first time I did bleach. Let's see if I can keep it more contained this time. ROFL!

I'ved never put versamark on my stamps first...try it w/o
I was away for a few days but could still look to see what the challenges were. It gave me time to think about what I wanted to try. Here is my go at it.
I had a chance to make a card for this challenge last night; I combined it with the color challenge; there's 2 views so you can see what's inside the pocket!
I've had fun playing with the bleach but can't seem to produce a card with it!
Just one question: Will it hurt my stamps to use bleach without versamark? I am thinking of teaching this technique to a large class.
