I wasn't sure I'd like pinwheels on my card fronts, so I used them on mini note cards that I stick in my kids' lunches everyday. But after making a few of them, I think I'll try them on a regular sized card. These turned out pretty cute!
ok, went a little wild here with the challenges and techniques!
I tried the shaving cream tech for the first time this weekend, then added to it. Plus got the CC52f in there, too. These challenges are just soooo fun! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Well, here is my attempt! I'm not sure how I feel about how it turned out but it was fun to do a folding tech. for something different! Thanks for all your hard work Beth! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
My eyesight must not be as good as some people here (plus I didnt sleep last night and I'm cracky) but I just can't read that file with those tiny little letters in those blocks so I took five minutes and cleaned that thing up and made the font a readable size. So if anyone wants to read it here it is.
I tried several different sizes of pinwheels before I came up with this one. I just love the girl from summer by the sea and thought she would be so cute flying a pinwheel kit. Thanks for looking. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

will try one of these either later tonight or tomorrow...should be fun, I have no 2 sided paper (that I am willing to cut up, LOL) so I will be one of those glue 2 pcs. together.
This is my first challenge! I love the pinwheel - so many cute things in the gallery today.
My version took a little time since I started with 1/2 inch squares - well, I started larger and kept having to make them smaller to fit the scale of the boots. I made two sets of pinwheels for each of the flowers. I stamped on the white side of the cardstock with Canvas in the contrasting color to give it a bit more pizazz. If I am still motivated, I may use it for Easter cards this year (hard to tell since I am still recovering from Christmas card meltdown!). Enjoy!
Here is my latest...not sure I'm happy with the color combo but I thought the idea itself was cute...plus I've had this set for a looong time and have only used a couple of stamps out of it...thanks for the challenge...
Thanks Beth - this week's challenge finally got me stamping again. Been so busy and had a sort of stamping funk after the last vsn - haven't made a card for 2 weeks and this challenge got me going again. It was fun.
Here's another one I made tonight for my god-daughter's birthday. The little pinwheel in the middle was made with polyshrink. You put the whole pinwheel together using a brad, then heat to shrink. Let me just say that brad is pipin' hot! And I have the brad shaped burn on my finger to prove it!
I just uploaded my card! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers What a great challenge. Thanks lakespur4000 for the great directions and showmestamper for the challenge.
Well, I labored over this challenge, and to top that, I uploaded the card on its side.....LOL! Really, I know better even though I am computer challenged, but at least, it is finally here.....resting. I think the card was even "tired" after I messed with it for several hours.
Here is my first challenge submittal. For those of you "regulars" and "stalkers" to this thread, I love to see all of your wonderful creations and am humbled by your creativity!
I hope to be able to participate more in the future!
