Here it is. It wasn't as hard as I thought it might be. I really had fun playing with my scraps to fill in the blocks.

My first Challenge
This is my first challenge. I had a lot of fun doing this one. Please bear with me as I am still fairly new with making cards. The colours got a little washed out in the picture and look much nicer in person.
My card is a two step card so view this link first:
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
and this link second:

Thanks for the challenge

I did one tonight...a larger than usual card.
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
(pending as of 10pm Pacific)
a tip: I cut a couple of 1/8' strips to put down on the black to help with spacing as I attached my blocks.

Calming colors, after the day that I have had. I know that it is plain but I needed something calming.

Hey - I just thought of something...do you guys think this counts as "color blocking"?
Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Maybe I'll try it again with more contrasting colors.

I didn't realize it would be so hard to figure out the blocking. It actually took me a couple of tries. I am too impatient!!
Enjoy my card!

Here's my try (I'm sure this is a CASEd design from SCS! Come forward and claim your applause!)
I want to try more blocks though and expand my choice of colors - thanks to the challenge I probably will.
Can't wait to get to the gallery to see everything you all have done!

I think I went a different route with the color blocking thing. I used wall paper samples with leaves and then a stamped piece that looks like it doesn't really belong LOL! But here is what I came up with.
study in leaves

I don't think I can "compete" with the others, but this is my take on this challenge. I thought it was going to be really painful with these other people saying that it took them a long time, but I didn't think it was that bad...very fun to do! I'm ready to try another one!! Thanks Beth!
