Default TLC332 ~ Faux Silk with a Twist ~ (7/04/11)

Hello everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying your July 4th weekend!! What better way to celebrate than to stamp...Whoohoo!!!! It's my turn to host this weeks TLC challenge and at the suggestion of myDD Holly, we are going to revisit a past challenge, TLC40, and add a little twist!! This week we are going to do Faux Silk. However, we are going to fancy it up just a bit by adding sponging, misting with Glimmer Mist or any other similar product, chalk, alcohol inks, flicking on the ink with a toothbrush, adding glitter or Stickles, or any other fun think you can think of!!

The instructions are pretty simple:
1. Stamp image on the tissue paper
2. Wad up the tissue paper and then flaten it out
3. Add glue to the background paper using a glue stick, glue spray, or liquid glue
4. Adhere the tissue paper to the backing.....sure you leave a few wrinkles
5. Trim off the excess tissue paper

For those who don't have tissue paper, you can use a napkin, thin paper towel, or mulberry paper.

Holly's Sample:

Vintage Silk Card

My Sample:

Elegant Ornament

Please remember to use KEYWORD TLC332 when uploading (no spaces)

You can find the entire TLC332 Gallery here

Have fun...I can't wait to see what you create!!!

Hi Ladies, remember me? It's been ages since I've gotten to play in a challenge. Great challenge, Joan! Here's what I came up with: Beta You Thought

Now I'm off to see what everyone came up with! Happy 4th of July to all the American ladies out there!
