TLC268 ~ Save the Page ~ (04/12/10)
Hi Friends!
When I was a young girl growing up in California, I spent many a summer day sitting on the beach reading a book. When I was in Junior High School (do they even call it that anymore?), I read Jaws on summer vacation. I remember being so terrified that I would not even step near the water!
~ Bookmark Cards ~
Many of my family and friends are bookworms, too. Discussing the latest read is nearly as fun as discussing the latest blockbuster movie. Today we’re going to create
bookmark cards . The card that keeps on giving! There are a couple types you can make:
Bookmark attached using a perforating blade
Bookmark insert
Bookmark attached to front of card
There are several examples shown in the gallery
HERE .
Here is my sample:

When uploading, please include KEYWORD
TLC268 (no spaces)
You can find the entire
TLC268 gallery
HERE .
Let’s get creative!

I'll try to get to this later on - DH has been looking for a bookmark recently. Got to catch up on the chores, though. They got a bit skimped last week with the long weekend and DH off another day too.

This was new for me - a perforated bookmark part to a card - I am pleased with how it turned out, but I need more practice.

Hi, Holly! I'm a little late joining the fun today, but I finally got to the challenge. This card will be sent to friends who spend the summer at their home in the northern area of the Lower Peninsula of MI. They like to sail and like to read......so this seemed a perfecr combination of the challenges today! Thanks!

I haven't had time to go into each person's cards but I took a glance at the gallery and they are so wonderful!!
Here is my bookmark, very simple, used mica powders and a water brush to color it so the shimmer is fantastic on it.
