I love this card, but when I got finished putting all the flowers on it, it didn't fit in any envelope I have. Has anyone else had this problem.

It's important to keep your flowers within the 5.5" margin when you applying them. By doing this your card should fit in an A2 envelope.

This was so much fun, I made two, and am going to make some more. I just can't seem to stop making flowers! All my friends are getting a flower pot for Mother's Day. I even uploaded two cards - my first TLC !

Wish I knew how to put in a link to my cards. Oh, well, I am finally fairly happy with a card I made. That's enough for me.

Am I the only one to be confused by the measurements as written on the tutorial link? I followed them exactly and frankly it did not work. I believe the cs should be 3 1/2 by 11 and score at 2 and 6 1/2. Didn't anybody else find this error or am I completely off my rocker?

Okay hunny I think if I read it right it was 3 1/2" wide and 9" long then you score it at
2" and 5 1/2" and you just make sure that when you make the pocket insert you make sure it stays at the 5 1/2" so it will fit into an A2 size envelope. I hope this makes sense and it helps you out ;) have a great time creating

Thanks, I get it now, I need to follow the carpenter's rule....measure twice cut once....and not drink wine while trying out a new tutorial...LOL...although it will work with my measurements if you use a larger envie.

I had to laugh when reading your post, sounds like what my sister said about not drinking wine while trying to figure out a new knitting pattern ;)

WOW: What a lovely card! I've been looking at the gallery at all the creations so far and am really liking this card idea.

I might try and start one this evening and wanted to know, is this quite easy to do? Can I follow the instructions to the letter and it'll come out okay? Or will I become stuck like kiki for example? Shall I make a "rough" one first in case I mess up my nice cardstock and decorative papers?

Thanks for reading. Looking forward to a reply

I'm just a bit late with these! lol Thanks Lynn... these were really fun and make good Mother's Day cards!! The only thing I was stumped with was the back... you can see where I glued the leaves to the flowers, etc. Did any of you "finish them off" in the back? Anyhoo... here are my 3:
