Mad props to Mama Kim for hosting and being so generous with her acetate sheets. No time tonight to do the challenge, but now that I have some acetate, I guess I will have to eventually do something with them. This challenge has provided so many amazing ideas.
You rock, Mama Kim! :p

Okay... Here is my attempt at my very first Acetate card. What a pain... It was really easy once I figured out how to keep the Acetate from popping open while I was stamping. Dummy ME!!!! Anyway, hope you all enjoy, I know I am....

Here's my take on the acetate card. BTW, does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best acetate to buy? My sister and I noticed some of the cards seem much firmer than the stuff we bought.
I included the front and back to see. Sorry about the blur on the card - it is hard to get a good shot on the acetate and sparkles. It looks better IRL.

I love these cards, but wondered how to attatch the cardstock to the acetate? Thanks!

I use my regular adhesive since you put layers on both sides of the acetate they hide the adhesive.

Another poster asked this a bit earlier on the thread but I didn't see an answer, so I'm asking again - or asking something similar. What do you look for to buy when you are buying acetate? I have sheets that I believe are for overhead projectors. Is that what everyone is using or should I look for something else. They certainly are clear but they aren't very thick. I did get it to fold and cut and everything. This project looks like fun and I'm going to try to tackle it this weekend.

I don't know what everyone else is using, but I didn't want to buy a whole box of 100 sheets from Office Max so I went to Kinko's copy shop and bought three or four transparency sheets. They might be a bit thinner than what everyone else is using, but that's all I did, ask for transparencies and they were fifty cents a piece. So you could play with the technique without investing a lot of money for supplies.

Well ladies, I am blown away by how beautiful the cards were for this challenge and how many participants there were.
What fun this has been for me to be a guest hostess.
Thank you all for joining this challenge, it was a first try at an acetate card for many including myself and I think everyone did a fabulous job.
