So fun! I am embarrassed that I still have this old mens' wear-look paper, but it finally came in useful for something! The scan cut the right side of my white card base off for some reason.

Wow, I never thought I would get that right! I used the word window punch to make the tie. What do you think?

I'm often too chicken to even try the Technique Challenges, or I don't have the right materials, but I think I can do this one! Thanks Beth!!!

Beth, my DH never wears a tie -- he teaches 4th grade -- and my dad is retied, so this folding technique wasn't all that attractive to me until I saw your links and the variation on the girl scout uniform! My dd was a girl scout through age 18 and I've yet to do her scrapbooks on that (fortunately since K&Co just came out with their papers and albums), what a gold mine! These challenges rock for all sorts of reasons!
But DS will be getting a "real job" relatively soon so I'm already thinking of a congrats on the new job card using this! How excellent are you today!

Oh man, I did great until I got to the part where you fold the bottom for the sleeves ~ now I am totally stuck  :(
Have to try again later....or get DH to have a look; he is much better spatially than I am.

Cool! I just happened to have made one of these recently for a card camp I'm doing. Here's the one I made as a sample. These are fun! At a recent stamping event, one of the participants brought her payment folded up like a shirt - so cute!

Showmestamper - thanks for the challenge - I've never done one of these cards before. It was fun. This one was plain & simple. I think I'll try and make a wild crazy hawaiian shirt next.

I needed a Father's Day card idea for a workshop this week...this worked out perfectly! I went with a monochromatic look. I don't think I have ever used just one color on any card before, but I kind of like the way it turned out.

I really like how this turned out. Thanks for a fun challenge, Beth. I don't know that I would have ever tried this without your posting this technique.
