Here is mine - this was hard to work with - I kept getting glue on my fingers and it would pull off the already glued down ribbon!

FINALLY finished! Whew! That frayed ribbon really was a challenge! Maybe that's because I used organdy ribbon- didn't have any grosgrain except that really skinny red plaid. Guess I need to stock up on some ribbon!
So here's my card. Thanks for looking!

I love the wispy look of the frayed ribbon. Thanks for the challenge!
I decided to make two for this one. A friend recently had a baby, and these two cards are part of a set of thank you cards I'm giving to her. She LOVES frogs, hence the froggy theme.

Ok, I know this is a day late, but my ribbon fraying attempt didn't work. What did ya'll do with the edge that wasn't cut? Did you trim both sides? Help, I can still salvage the card or make another, but I need to figure this out.

Hold down the non-cut edge on the table with your fingers with the non-cut edge towards your body...pull out the threads from the cut side (the side away from you) a few at a time. You will get a bunch of threads, and be left with a piece that looks like fringe. Does that make sense?
On my sample, I used the fringe piece to tie the loose threads. Some people have used the fringed piece on their card, and others have used just the threads.
Ask again if you are still having trouble.

I just had to try another one and I combined it with the color challenge as well as the featured stamper challenge from Sunday. I will be doing this more, just love it.

Alright, I know you are all probably sick of me, but I am attempting once again
to upload this card. I think I have it figured out. I needed to rename my file! Thanks for your patience, I am a newbie to this uploading business!

my first challenge attempt!
And I shot two birds with one card: (color & technique challenges). Of course I did not actually read the directions before fraying & uploading, so my GG ribbon int eh pic is only half-frayed, hope it still counts! LOL. Melissa

I LOVED this challenge, Beth! I can't get over how quick and easy this is to do with the grossgrain. It's just too cute! Thanks!

Thank you Beth for this challenge. I loved doing the frayed ribbon and I think it really goes with the Bellas, especially the one I used for the challenge.
