These are the last three steps: fourth is to cut the second diagonal as shown. fifth is to fold the top diagonal as shown. last step is to fold the last diagonal up and the criss cross is done.

Well, it's on it's side. I didn't catch that until it was approved. Will a moderator fix that for me, or will you all have to lean over to see it??? Anyways, here's my try. I enjoyed this, so I think I'll go and do more!!!
Glad she posted that! THis was how I first learned to make criss cross cards but I just couldn't locate my "Quick Cards" document that Tammy Waddell came up with many years ago. This is one of 13 designs that she did where you use a package of white or vanilla cards and make cuts to them to come up with different designs. Does anyone else know what I am talking about?

Happily stampin' away the day!
OMG! Since I am a kindergarten teacher and say this at least 50 times a day, I'm gonna have to haul my bottom home early today so I can make one of these cute cards!
Yes! I taught preschool for 25 years and said "let's all sit criss-cross applesauce" all the time! Now if I would just get started on making a card, lol!
Now I know why your screen name is PURE-GENIUS! Great directions and visuals!
I not really a genius, I just came up with a cheeky screen name for myself when some friends said I should be posting my cards on SCS. Thanks for the sentiment just the same. I really like making cards and just about anything crafty. One thing is for sure I've seen many fine creations here on SCS, and I get a lot of inspiration throughout this site all the time.
I finally jumped back into trying the challenges. DH was away on business last week and he must've taken my desire to stamp with him. How sad is that? LOL
I've always wanted to try a criss cross card but I was intimidated. Its alot easier than it looks. Thanks for the challenge!
You can't see because of the way I scanned, but when you pull out the insert, I stamped the paisley from Fresh Fillers on the inside of the card. Just a little extra, I guess.
First challenge that I have done in a long while. It was a great starting point for the Thank you cards I needed. I used the Just Delightful Simply Scrappin' kit.
Here is my criss cross card! I love this technique, it's easy and fun and the outcome looks like I spent hours! Hope you like it and thanks for looking!
Here's mine! I hardly ever get to submit on the day of the challenge due to work, but thanks to our Presidents - I'm home! Fun little idea!
My niece's BD message is on the back of the pull-out card.
My 3 grandchildren, I love being a Grandma! My profile picture is a 5 generations picture with my granddaughter. I'm the one in the pink. lol (Back Right) Too fun.

What a fun challenge! This is the first time I have seen this type of card and it turned out to be so fun and easy to do - can't wait to do more! Thanks ladies for the wonderful directions!
Criss Cross Postale
2nd for the day. It took way too long. I had my first one done in a matter of minutes and then spent an hour on this one! (I like my 1st one waaayyy better too, just shows you that less is usually more)
