Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Jennifrann/Jen
CHALLENGE: I'm told that this week's recipient is a woman of faith who is very proud of her Irish heritage, which inspired me to look for an Irish prayer for our challenge today. Take the inspiration for your card from this Irish blessing:
May God give you...
With every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Hello, Hugs, thinking of you, birthday/belated birthday, religious welcome
Today's Tea Party guest of honor, Maggie, was nominated by Rose, a former coworker of mine. Maggie has recently suffered a stroke that has left her bedridden. Her birthday happens to be on February 10th. She will turn 77. Maggie is the mother of two sons and grandmother to six grandchildren. Her husband Ron was a close coworker of Rose's. Maggie loves her cat and used to love watching the birds outside before she became bedridden. She's very proud of her Irish heritage.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to Jennifrann via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

I've been having one of those weeks when I feel like I'm swimming thru Jell-O to get anything done. (Probably green Jell-O, tho, lol!) So I'm sending Maggie a card from my stash--it has birds, but no cat and no shamrocks. I printed the prayer for the inside.
