Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT805 Light as a Feather
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot or from the challenge theme itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
It's the last Tuesday of the month so that means it's time for our Teapot Tuesday Tickle Challenge
This week's challenge is brought to you by me, your tickle a teapotter coordinator.
CHALLENGE:
I know I am not the only one who has a tough year this year - even in our group I immediately think of MaryJo losing her beloved Nick, and Anita going through a scary time with her son's illness, and I can think of several others.
Christmas Eve was always an important part of our family celebrations on account of my mother being French. This year, with the passing of my aunt in July and my brother-in-law too ill to travel, it was to have been my first Christmas Eve I can ever remember with no family gathering. In the end, we travelled to stay with my sister and just treated it as a weekend, rather than anything festive which none of us were in the mood for. So instead of my usual more philosophical challenge, I needed something more light-hearted and I thought what better than feathers for a tickle. If you are truly stuck and have no feathers, stamps or dies, you can use a bird but I am thinking most of us should have something.
Note - If you use real feathers, I will make sure to restrict where your card goes - definitely not Australia because it wouldn't get through customs, and probably not Europe just to be safe ;-).
Don't forget dream-catchers if you have one!!
EPEC(extra points for extra cookies): The first cake decorating "technique" I can remember learning was feathered icing, as in the first cookie attachment. I used to love using that on cookies or even on a cake. So for an extra cookie, use any technique from our tutorials section for your card. And tell us what you used. Things as basic as die-cutting, embossing resist, paper piercing and so on are covered, so you don't have to be adventurous but if you take a look you might discover something new and fun! SEND CARDS TO: This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other!
Check outTHIS NEW THREADin the TEApot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions. Make sure to sign up by bedtime on Saturday 30th December 2023. Your destination recipient will be PM'd to you.

So glad to have a fun, quick and easy challenge for this crazy time of year. This is a BUSY time at work for me so it was a blessing to have a relaxing challenge.
Sabrina, I have you in prayer. The 1st holiday is the hardest. I'm past one. I bought a puppy when it was 3 days old. I will pick it up on Feb. 14th on Nick's 6 month anniversary his gift to me since he died. Its uncanny how Lady Di will officially be mine on that day.
Hugs,

It felt so good to submit today. I think of you all so often. This was a perfect theme for the new year, Sabrina. May we all be more light of heart. Happy New Year.

I loved the idea of feathers, Sabrina. Thank you for the prompt! There is nothing more cozy than slipping underneath a down comforter. And the vastness of feathered creatures in their beauty dress is beyond counting. What an array!
