Today we are making sympathy cards in soothing colors for Liz (Lizbeth1976) who recently lost her mother.

Many of you are familiar with Lix's cards. She is a talented cardmaker and has been a member of SCS since 2007. She often joins us in the Teapot Challenge. She does multiple crafts including quilting and counted-cross stitch. She is a Dirty Dozen alum and loves pumpkin pie.

Thank you, Pat, for hosting this teaparty! I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you! I've been AWOL for a while here, because of Mom's passing and all the "stuff" that goes along with that. But I decided yesterday that I really need to be back at the Teaparties now, and imagine my surprise when I checked in today and found out it is for me this week.

I'd worked a bit ahead, having a hunch that there may be a Tea party thrown for miss Liz, and ended up putting it in the gallery too hastily! My apologies, but here's Liz's card - I felt the color combination was soothing yet still cheerful, and I hope she does too! We love you, Liz!!!

I want to say Thank You again to everyone for the Teaparty. The cards have been arriving; I'm waiting to have some "quiet time" to open them all, and savor them. It was a very crazy weekend, a busy day yesterday, and not much quieter today! Oh well, it'll all settle down soon (I hope!)!
