Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Shoe Girl / Lisa
CHALLENGE: In honor of our recipient this week, let's create some patriotic thank you cards to thank our special destination for his service.
CARD TYPE/THEME: A Thank You Tea Party was requested by mcschmidty (Shelly Schmidt). It is from a Letterboxing group she is in. One of the big surprises are the letters that these veterans receive. Honor Flight America will be taking a plane ride to Washington, DC to see their memorials and some other things. Our cards will be going to Ron Ruest for his May 7th flight. This will be a big surprise for him.
SEND CARDS TO:
Honor Flight New England

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to Jennifrann via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
Shelley, would you happen to know which memorial is his -- I'm guessing it's Korea or Viet Nam but WWII might not be out of the question. And/or which branch of service he was in. Thanks.
Debbie- all I know is he is 100% disabled and fought in Vietnam. I dropped a line to his wife who posted the request for cards and will drop a line here if she replies soon regarding his branch of service.
Thanks so much- so great to honor him and brighten his day!
I had no idea where to go with this or even whether to take part. So my note says that sending from Ireland I obviously have no connection with the US military, but send him this card in remembrance of my grandfather who flew in the Royal Flying Corps in WW1, and wished him a good day. God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
Thanks to all for making cards for this hero! It will be so cool for him to receive and open them up in the midst of this fun surprise of the Honor flight!
Here is mine for Ronald, & one for a gentleman from our church as he will be going on the honor flight also. I was talking to his sister today and she told me, so, I just made them at the same time. MMTPT769 for Ronald & Wendell sm by smadson at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks, Lisa and Shelly, for this great Teaparty, and for helping us honor our veterans!

I want to thank everyone who sent the cards to my husband for is Honor Flight. I wanted my husband to feel a warm welcome home after experiencing all the rude comments when he came home from Vietnam.
He was overwhelmed by all the cards, postcards and beautiful LTCs he received. He received so much mail, a little less than 100 , that it is taking days for all of them to be opened. Which is okay with me. I love seeing his big smile on his face as he reads each one. With tears in my eyes, THANK YOU!! Purple Gem Tou Ron Ron
