Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: Jennifrann/Jen
CHALLENGE: In honor of our dear friend, Carlene, let's play challenge catch-up. Look back at other old challenges and see if you can use at least three challenges to inspire your card.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Sympathy, hello, hugs
You may be aware that our dear SCS friend, Carlene (chatterbox-1) passed away on New Year's Day. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her alpha sisters. They have requested this Tea Party of great big paper hugs for Carlene's husband, John and family.

Great Teaparty. I did send a card to the family after learning about our dear Carlene’s passing. She will be missed.

Oh no, I wasn't aware she passed away. So sad. Thanks for doing this challenge, Jen, it gives me a chance to redeem myself not having sent a card as I was not aware. I need to check the chats more often. Off to make a card with some challenge combos.

I kinda checked to see what past challenges are - but wasn't sure what to use (as I usually don't do 'several challenges' - but think I'll try later).. I just made a sympathy card for John, using a beautiful dove die that my late friend Theresa Tauscher gave me.
Thank you, Jen, for doing this challenge to remember Carlene. I only knew her thru the cards she posted, but was always in awe of how many challenges she could pack into one lovely, awesome card! I am late to the party, but here is Thinking of You for her husband John and family. (It went in the mail today.)

Thank you Jenn for this challenge in honor of Carlene. I rarely do multiple challenges for a card. I'm amazed at how many challenges Carlene could link to one card! Here's my card for her family:
Jen, thanks for drawing our attention to the passing of Carlene, aka chatterbox-1. It's sad to lose a fellow SCS crafter - she was so positive and took time to comment on lots of cards. I always marveled at how many challenges she could pack into a card, often going back years! It was a hoot to see. Chatterbox Challenges by lamoore at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks Jen, for putting this together. I was so glad I saw other participants' cards so that I knew about it. I am so sad and will miss Carlene. She was so sweet!
I used an older sketch challenge, the Mixabilities Woodgrain challenge that I've wanted to try, & a Ways to Use It challenge to incorporate fabric in your design. Hopefully this will bring comfort to Carlene's husband.
John called me last night. He was overwhelmed with the outpouring of caring shown through the lovely cards sent to him and the family. He has received 25 to date and was surprised that they came from all over the country and even across the world. Your cards and messages letting them know how highly Carlene was thought of touched their hearts. Thank you for supporting them.
