Louise,
I do the best I can, but please understand that I'm a social person (DH is NOT), and the continuing isolation gets to me. I miss PEOPLE.
My heart goes out to you. I'm a total extravert and my husband is very intraverted... so I feel your pain. This past year things have been so much better in my area regarding COVID. Not making any political statement here - but my husband and I have been vacinated and boosted to the max. Neither of us has had COVID at this point and we have been going out again and enjoying walks and at least some life with friends. I don't think things will ever go back to the way it was, but I'm glad for whatever I can get. I'm so happy that I could send you a card (mine was the one with the huge ice cream cone). We did go out to nice restaurant for our Anniversary (1/17) and will go to my son's house for my 70th Birthday (1/29) with two of my sons who live locally and their significant others. BTW, we choose our restaurants very carefully for both price and seating and try to go at "off" times so there aren't so many people there. I will keep you in my prayers. I really do understand about the intravert/extravert thing. The same thigs that make us mesh so well, are the things that most drive us crazy about each other. Picture is of me and my grandson.

I am so ashamed of myself for complaining. I am blessed to have a husband of 19 years who is gainfully employed (even if he's Asperger's and not social). He's even 10 years younger than me!

I get lonely, I guess.
Everyone needs to vent sometimes. Better to do it in a forum like this than to someone in person. Most people understand that having a bad day, week (or year) during COVID is a given. Smile and move on. We are all blessed and cursed in some way or an other. LOL

Got 2 more cards in the mail today, bringing the total up to 37. One was from my SU demo, and the other from Shirl.
I am no longer all glum- somebody wonderful bought me dinner tomorrow, so I don't have to cook it myself!
Maybe I'll check new movies streaming, and DH can complain all he wants while paying to watch one. (Well, at least I never insist on the $19.99 just released ones. I can wait until they hit $5.99 or less) I am lucky that he actually likes chick flicks, including Hallmark movies. Sometimes I have to fight for an action adventure movie!
