Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: peeps321/Polly
CHALLENGE: It’s mid November and I guess Fall is here to stay with Winter nipping at its heels. For those of us in cold climates we have to be concerned with keeping warm. So our challenge this week is to illustrate something warm. Use a blanket or quilt image (or try a quilt technique). Think warm colors, something soft or fluffy. Perhaps you have an image of a roaring fire. Send warm thoughts with a hug.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You, Hugs, Encouragement, Positive/Happy Thoughts
This week’s teaparty was requested by Mac (SCS mac4551) for her friend. Joyce, 70, suffered the stroke on 10/15 but her sister didn't discover her until 10/19. Poor thing. Joyce was stranded in her recliner (she lives alone). She was airlifted to a Pittsburgh hospital that specializes in stroke victims and she’s now in a rehab center recovering. The stroke affected Joyce’s entire left side and she still has some confusion. It wasn’t known how long Joyce would be in rehab so cards will go to her house to ensure she gets them. Joyce loves cardinals, all flowers and her hobbies include counted cross stitching and crocheting.

Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

I misread quilter in her hobby list so I chose a completed quilt block in my stash. I added stitching to the background, so that covers the cross stitching hobby.
The latest update: she is still unable to sit completely upright, and she still has no control, movement nor much feeling in her entire left side. looks like it'll be a very long recovery for her...
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
I had to go with the cardinal- I just love it when they visit my yard and I catch a glimpse of them!
Poor Joyce sitting there for 4 days! Prayers for a speedy recovery!
