MMTPT692 ~ October 26, 2021 ~ A Reflection of your Collection
Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTP692 A Reflection of Your Collection
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot or from the challenge theme itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
It's the last Tuesday of the month so that means it's time for our Teapot Tuesday Tickle Challenge
This week's challenge is brought to you by guest hostess: stampingwriter / Sandy
CHALLENGE:Old-timers among the Teapotters know that the Teapot Tuesday Challenge was started by SCSer Cindy, who had the username Mothermark (which is where the MM in MMTPT comes from.) Cindy collects teapots, and she used her own collection of teapots as the basis for the early challenges. I thought it would be fun to see what collections other Teapotters have and let you use your own collection – or mine – as an inspiration for your Tickle card.
You have 2 options:
1. Make a card inspired by something you collect – antique cars, shoes, baskets, really pretty DP -- ANYTHING you’d call your collection. Show us something about your collection on a card.
2. If you don’t collect anything, or need different inspiration, I’ll offer my collection of salt & pepper shakers. There’s a photo attached of some, if you want to be inspired by an actual S&P set, or you can design your card using the criteria I use when buying a set:
It should feature two items that are of similar size and closely related, but not identical. (So, a cat and dog, or a male and female cardinal, or an apple and a pear – any two items you could imagine paired as a S&P set). Personally, I look for a little humor or whimsy in the sets I collect, but that’s not a requirement.
EPEC(extra points for extra cookies): Paper Piercing. After all, salt and pepper shakers have holes in them!
SEND CARDS TO: This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other!
Check out this thread here in the TEApot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions. Make sure to sign up by bedtime on Saturday 30th Oct, 2021. Your destination recipient will be PM'd to you.

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT692 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
I am not a collector - but my kids decided I needed a "collection" and started giving me Dreamscicles. One is extra special to me and you can see why in my card description. MMTPT692- One friend at a time

Here's my card representing my love of stamping! I can't imagine counting how many stamps I've collected since the late 1980's...maybe a million! LOL the Mad Stamper

Before I was born, my parents ran a hamburger stand with my Uncle Lee, that served milkshakes, hamburger, hotdogs - etc. They had a jukebox in the restaurant. When they closed down, the guy that owned the jukebox, gave them all the 45 records that was in it. I grew up listening to those 50s music. Although I still have a lot of them, I have thinned them out over the years. As a teenager in the 70s, my friend and I would go and buy 45s of the popular songs at that time. And I have those too, plus the albums both mine and my mothers. (A picture of my collection):

I collect lighthouses and teapots. I'm still working on my card. The suspense is killing me . The lighthouses are replicas of real lighthouses including the 2 teapot lighthouses.
Here's mine!
My collection is all stamp related! Edge scissors, Penny Black stamps, are a few of the things I collected in my beginning days of card making!
I'm working on my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking goal, plus my 2022 Christmas card stash.
I collect Christmas snow globes; last year's addition was a Christmas tree/ music box that rotates in the moving snow flurries. Thus, my card is all about a Christmas tree! I have die-cut paper piercing to let the metallic distress gold peek through as Christmas tensile rope for paper piercing extra cookies.
