Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: peeps321/Polly
CHALLENGE: Let's play with words this week! Since we want our recipient to smile use at least 4 letters in the word SMILE when you are making your card. For example: S-stamps, square, I-ink, image, etc
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You, Hi/Hello, Feel Better, Miss You
SCS JRHolbrook, aka Judy, aka Gracie, has requested this week’s teaparty for her sweet father-in-law, Rex. Rex entered an assisted living facility earlier this year at 95 years old. He has bone cancer and is in a wheelchair now, but was in his own home mowing grass and shoveling snow at 94! Recently, one of the workers at the facility tested positive for COVID, so the residents are quarantined to their rooms and cannot have any visitors. Poor Rex is very lonesome because he loves to chat with his "lady friends" at the home. He also loves to sit outside; however, they’re only allowing one person at a time on the front porch. Sounds like Rex is quite the ladies man - imagine the thrill he’ll get when the cards start pouring in from ladies all over the country/world. Rex loves the outdoors and used to have a farm and a truck.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Does someone you know have a special occasion or milestone coming up? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

Here's mine. Gave me a chance to try out an ef for yesterday's Technique challenge. I have only one teeny little tractor stamp in my Whippersnapper Farm Fresh set, so I went with a pick-up truck instead .
I will send Rex a card out of my stash. Life’s busy this end. Happy day everyone

I'm just starting to comment on all the beautiful cards for Rex! Thanks so much ladies! We saw him yesterday and the quarantine has been lifted. I told him to expect to receive some cards soon and he said that he'll love that and grinned from ear to ear. He's going to display them on his table and show all the ladies at the assisted living home. He's the only man there, so he has lots of admirers! We teased him and said, since he was overseas in the Army, he can tell them that he has women all over the world! Rex is so excited and looking forward to all the happy mail! Huge hugs to all of you!!!

I have to add one more thing about Rex, because he so deserves all the attention he's getting now. He took care of his wife of 69 years at home for many years, feeding and bathing her. She passed away at 91 from Alzheimers 3 years ago. Amazing man at 95!

This card is for the Teapot Tuesday Challenge and will go to Rex. He likes the outdoors and needs a little pick me up so I hope this puts a smile on his face. I used "S"tamps, "M"ountains, "I"nk, "L"ines in the frame and a woodgrain "E"mbossing folder to help with the SMILE TFL
I wondered where the tractor and farm theme came in. "How does everyone know he was a farmer", I thought. Apparently I didn't read all the way to the end . My bad :(
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
Challenge: Use elements that start with at least 4 of letters in SMILE. My elements: S=Sending Smiles stamp, Scallop edging; M=mat layers, markers; I=ink; L=leaves, love; E=edge die. I'm late to the party, so this card will send smiles to a good friend as a belated birthday card and happy retirement all rolled into one.
