Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!

CHALLENGE: As you know Mother’s Day is next Sunday. Our challenge this week salutes a daughter’s love for her mother. Include something on your card that reminds you of your mother…favorite color or image…sense of humor, favorite place ...
CARD TYPE/THEME: Thinking of You, Encouragement, Sunshine – Spiritual/Religious cards are welcome
As many know,SCS Hotwheels (Linda) lost her mother to cancer on 05/04/2019. This was an especially difficult blow because not only did Linda lose her mother, she lost her life-long stamping buddy. SCSDr. Sonja requested a teaparty for Linda, specifically on this 2nd anniversary of her passing, hoping some cheerful cards with words of encouragement would help lift Linda’s spirits. Perhaps, if you could, share a story about your own mother or how you have coped with losing a parent. Offer optimism and give Linda ideas on how to build a foundation for healing her loss. Linda and her mother loved to share tea and make cards to send to those in need. Linda likes pastels, especially pink, anything glittery and fancy, Spring flowers and she especially appreciates Bible verses and prayers.

God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
My mother loved to sit on the screened porch and watch the birds. She was especially delighted when the cardinals would take a bath in the birdbath. MMTPT667 Cardinals by casep at Splitcoaststampers

My card for Linda. Inside, I tell her a little about my own sweet friendship with my mother and best friend who passed away from a brain tumor seven years ago.
As Mother’s Day approaches, my prayer is for all of us who have lost a mom or a mother figure, that we may reflect on all the joys shared and memories made during her lifetime. Hugs to all of you…
"A daughters love" card added to my gallery. Spellbinders small die of the month for the hand holding flowers, and Crafters Companion dies for the wording.
I decided to send a card from my stash that I was having a hard time letting go of - I didn't realize just how long I had been hoarding it until I looked back in my gallery . . . . oh my, August 1, 2017 for CC646 for this Almond Blossom Fairy !! It fits the bill with pinks and pastels and glitter on the fairy wings. I hope Linda will enjoy it as much as I did. Will try to attach a thumbnail here . . .

I only realised today that I was supposed to create something that reminded me of my mum. That would have been a little tricky as when I think of my mum I think of her as being kind and fair and hardworking. We never really got to know one another and clashed during my youth. I was the last child in our family and mum had me late so I always thought of her as being old. I miss her now and wish I could have got to know her better.
Happy Mothers Day and Women's Day to everyone this week.

I am playing Challenge cardmaking, and hopefully, catching up on some old challenges as well. Challenge: a thinking of you card to let Linda know we are thinking about her and in memory of her 2-yr. anniversary of the loss of her mother and cardmaking buddy.
This card was originally planned to acknowledge that I missed sending Linda a January birthday card. The theme was planned to be a thinking of you since I decided her birthday was so many weeks ago and I wanted her to know I was thinking about her on her birthday and after as it became more and more belated! In addition, when I became aware I also missed her Teapot Challenge, it was perfect to roll both occasions into one and the same thinking of you card! My card will be mailed to Lineda, the challenge recipient.
