Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: snietje / Anita
CHALLENGE:
Our recipient Kristin is easy going and she likes yoga so that made me think about being ZEN how to turn that into a challenge...that's the challenge!!
Make your cards look zen, use any technique you like, Kristin doesn't have a favorite color but I'll give some extra cookies if you put a bit of green on your cards, the color of hope.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Encouragement cards, Thinking of You, Hello
This week's Guest of Honor is Kristin MacDonald and was suggested by SCS McSchmidty (Shelly)
Kristen has been diagnosed with melanoma (cancer) in her eye, she went to Philadelphia for surgery to remove her eye.
Her mother says she is very easy- going, she likes dogs, donuts, city life (Chicago), running, yoga, British bake-offs, movies and no favorite color.

Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.
I'm more into die cutting, but I have a set of stamps with exercise equipment, a lady doing yoga, donuts, etc that is perfect for this request ! .. I will create a card today and have it in tomorrows mail. Thanks !
Shelly is a friend and she's mentioned Kristin a few times so of course I wanted to make/send her a card. That being said, I know absolutely nothing about Zen. (I'm sorry). I hope it's okay that I made a dog card instead - since Kristin likes dogs and that's something I did know how to do. I added a bit of green to my card, too... not wanting to be a total rebel.
I'm a little late tonight but it was a tough day and I'm just now getting up .... but this is going in tomorrow's mail for Kristen! Shelly, thank you for sharing her story so we can pray for this young lady.
Getting this in the mail today. And I have the day off work so if I don't freeze on the walk to the mailbox, I'm snuggling up with a hot cup of tea and browsing the gallery afterwards.

Playing a little of my Challenge Catch-up cardmaking...so this card will go to my DIL for her birthday. Also, catching up on the SCS postings!
Making my card look Zen...what could bring on a relaxed Zen attitude better and faster than sitting by a fish pond, dappling your fingers in the water while watching the fish swim peacefully within.
