Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something about the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary-- it's not a requirement, but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!

CHALLENGE: This week we are sending cards to one of our own. I have some Native American heritage and I really love when people refer to their friends as their tribe. Since we are sending to cards to one of our SCS tribe this week I challenge you to use something referring to Native Americans. Don't panic if you don't have any Native American images in your stamps. I don't either. But there are many other possibilities. You might use arrows, feathers, or look at Native American weaving or beadwork for inspiration. Native American tribes are very diverse, so there are many very different ideas out there. The Cherokee are very different from the Tlingit. The Navajo are very different from the Seneca. Many tribes have important animals like bears, ravens, or even spiders. Tlinglit and Haida are well known for their totem poles.
Here is a list of some of the Native America tribes in case you are not familiar with their names:
Cherokee, Apache, Navajo, Sioux, Cheyenne, Paiute, Iroquois Nation, Crow People, Ute, Pawnee, Lakota, Shoshone, Chippewa, Choctaw, Pueblo, Creek. There are many more. You can get your inspiration from any of them. Maybe you have a local tribe that you can get inspiration from.

A member of our SCS tribe, Cheryl, aka CherylQuilts is dealing with some serious health challenges. She is one of our biggest cheerleaders, welcoming new Dirty Dozen team members, and leaving lots of lovely comments in the galleries. This week we are sending cards to cheer her up and let her know we are thinking of her as she faces these ongoing challenges.

Dear ones! You have once again touched my heart so deeply! It took me a few days before I realized it was a Teapot Challenge that sparked the cards coming. Thank you so very much. What a beautiful lift to my spirits, and I thank you all for the cards and especially the lovely notes inside to encourage. As many of you know, I especially love Scripture, and so many had Scripture on the card fronts and also inside. Thank you for praying for me. It's been a really hard journey, but I continue to trust in the Lord to help me each day -- one day at a time. As my DH and I say every morning, "We cherish the day we have together." After all, none of us is guaranteed another breathe or heartbeat. So cherish the day no matter what your circumstances. Life is so fragile. But I praise God for His strength for each day I have.
Thank you, Pat, for hosting and challenge, and Robin for posting the challenge. I love the idea of being part of the "tribe" here at SCS. It's a true joy to be part of such a wonderful community of creative and caring friends.

a little late to the Teaparty, but glad I could get an idea in my head today. lately, I have been coffee staining different papers and learning to use a sewing machine recently.... I wanted to incorporate that into this card. take good care and enjoy, be grateful for the beautiful day.
