MMTPT641 - November 3, 2020 - Sending Smiles to Sam
Teapot Tuesday Challenge MMTPT641
Sending Smiles to Sam
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, sending your card to the listed guest of honor is 100% voluntary - it's not a requirement but will be very well appreciated. Just have fun!
This week's challenge hostess is: susie australia/Susie
CHALLENGE: Hello Teapotters! I thought it might be fun to make a tent card or a tent topper card, or your own unique version of these tutorials, depending on what tools you have.
I will link both of the tutorials, but in case they don't work, just type Tent Card and Tent Topper Card into the "Search Resources" drop box on the "Tutorials" page. As always, you can also take your inspiration from the teapot and cookies. The main thing is to have fun!
EXTRA COOKIES: Red...a hint, a splash or lots of red.
CARD TYPE/THEME: Cheerful, Thinking of You, Sunshine, Hello, Feel Better
We’ve got a trio of men lined up for our November teaparties. You may recall we hosted a teaparty for Beth Hagler a few months ago. Well, word of our good cheer apparently gets around. A friend of Beth’s was so touched that she reached out to request a teaparty for her 7-year old grandson. Sammy has been in the hospital for over 2 months. He had a botched surgery to remove a cyst from his esophagus – he went into septic and almost died. Sam had a second surgery, which went well, and he is currently off the ventilator but is still recovering. That’s a lot for anyone to endure let alone a seven year old child. Sam has a dog, a Beagle, and he loves race cars. Let’s send a bunch of warm fuzzies to this tough little guy. SEND CARDS TO: Sam Griffo 114 Roan Trace San Antonio, TX 78258

Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT641 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or all around warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Send your request to jacqueline via PM or e-mail [email protected]. Include SCS Teaparty Request in the subject line.

This was fun, and I'm glad you suggested tent cards because I had been wanting to try out the recent Swinging Tent Card tutorial. For some reason my entire first upload just vanished when I hit submit.
I just read today's teapot Tuesday fir Sammy, I will work on my card tomorrow. Sammy is in for a treat, I was a racecar driver in the 80s , I raced for 8 years. I will have to send Sammy a picture of me and my race car along with a write up blue cross did on me.

HERE is my card for Sam. Loved making a tent topper card - thanks for remining us about them, Susie. I made sure to have red so I could have cookies! Haven't had a cookie or sweet in 45 days! Darn diets! Hugz

Susie, thank you for this challenge. I was concentrating on finding a beagle for Sam's card and I forgot about the tent topper portion of your challenge. I apologize. Here's my card:
God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us ... being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:8 & 9
The card is sealed in the envelope, but I missed the post man today. He came way too fast for me, so it will be mailed soon.

Wow MaryJo. You were a pioneer back then. I love that you raced with the men too. You and Shirley Muldowney (I know different type of racer) rock! Love your pics. TFS

I did not do a tent card, but I did do a book for Sam about our racing world. I hope he enjoys his card. I included the write about me from Blue Cross where I worked for 25 years. I made it into a personal book he can keep forever.
