Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
Anyone is welcome to play in the weekly Teapot Challenge - the more, the merrier! You automatically become a “TEApotter” the first time you play. Where will you find inspiration? Will it be from the teapot? The destination location? Something of the recipient? Or could it be from the challenge itself? Remember, your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not a requirement. Just have fun!
CHALLENGE:
Our recipient likes to make scenes and I’m not talking about making faces or stomping your feet. She likes to create rooms, gardens, and parties on her cards. She is also fond of an easel design. So your challenge is to make a card with a scene or make an easel card or a combination of the two.
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our cards will go to someone well known to our community. She leaves thoughtful comments and her creations are a clever addition to any challenge. Tonda Baldwin has been having health problems and could use some Splitcoast love. Send her greetings to show how much she is missed, thinking of you, and cheery thoughts.
Send your cards to:
Tonda Baldwin
23737 K-22
Merrill, IA 51038
USA
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT554 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Do you know someone that could use some well wishes, encouragement or just some warm fuzzies? Consider nominating them as a guest of honor (a.k.a. destination station) for an upcoming tea party. Post your request HERE or send a PM to jacqueline.
Tonda is certainly missed on SCS when she isn't around. I will be travelling this week but will definitely get Tonda a card in the mail.

MMTPT554 Interior Design
Here's mine - I made an easel and a little interior scene AND used a set which I think Tonda really likes as she messaged me asking about it before. Fun, and thanks for pushing me into the easel, not a format I often use.
"Luck Of The Irish" is the easel card (1st one ever) I made for Tonda. I plan to mail it for St. Patty's Day. When my new computer gets hooked up, hopefully next weekend, I'll be able to scan and share.
Mac -we're happy you could join us this week! I'm sure Tonda will love getting your card. I see you haven't started a gallery of your own. If you're interested here's a thread that will lead you through it. Just remember to put
MMTPT554 in the keyword section. This code will change for every challenge so next's weeks will be MMTPT555...

Just popping in to say I havnt forgotten Sis Tonda.... My mojo or energy has been really lacking lately So I will send something from my stash or may still create something for her... Mahalo
So happy to be able to join this tea party and share cards again after a 2 week computer loss. Better late than never, right? Tonda and I go way back with this particular bar image. Happy almost St. Patty's Day
Better late than never, I hope! Since Tonda lives in Iowa, I thought a nostalgic Old Barn Scene might cheer her up a bit!
Thanks for the challenge, Polly--sure do miss seeing Tonda's creations in the gallery.

I wanted to take a minute and thank each and every one of for the beautiful cards, prayers and uplifting message. I believe I’m going to survive this. It is still possible that it may be fatal. On Friday they added another medicine because they didn’t think I was responding as well as I should be. I still Have about 50 days of meds left. My stomach is having problems with the meds. I pray I can continue to take the medicine. I will comment on all my beautiful cards and sprinkle your galleries with comments when I’m back to myself again. You ladies have me feel so special and I appreciate it so much.
This lung virus is very serious and it’s very easy to get. It is from diseased bird dropping.
Basically you breath where a bird has gone to the bathroom. So the next time you go outside and go to sit down and a bird has crapped, or work
In your garden, or get in your car and the bluebird of
Happiness has left a deposit, it can be life altering. There is no cure, they can get it into remission but it never goes away. I almost died 40
Years ago but then it went away. I got pneumonia and the flu and they think the weaken lungs allowed this histoplasmosis to become active again.
Oh, Tonda, you are in my prayers for sure! Histoplasmosis is horrible! My oldest son got it a few years back, and spent 3 days in ICU on IV antibiotics. He got it from bat droppings in an old, hollow tree that they were cutting down. I remember how terribly sick he was, and that it took him a long time to get to feeling well enough to be able to go back to work.
I sure hope that the new meds they are giving you will work for you! Take care, hugs and prayers to you!

Ladies I just wanted to take a minute and do a special thank you to all of you who sent cards. It really helped. However, I actually received about 60 cards so many of you didn’t upload your cards to the gallery. So a special shout out to you ladies that I can’t comment on the cards of.
It looks like they have gotten the histoplasmosis back in remission in my lungs but awaiting to see if it moved into my heart. I am still very tired but starting to get a tad of my life back.
Thanks for being here for me during the difficult times.

Remember life is fragile handle with prayer and if you see fresh bird poop run for your life. I’m almost afraid to go outdoors.
Thanks for being here for me during the difficult times.
Tonda, I am so glad to hear from you. I have been thinking about you and glad to hear you are doing better. Glad you let us know how you are doing and I pray that disease is completely gone soon. Makes me scared to go to the bird feeders.
